About a month ago I had to take my cat, Arlo, to VEG. The team was absolutely exceptional. They allowed us to stay with Arlo through everything and were so kind when I visited him throughout the day. Everybody I interacted with at VEG was so patient with all of my questions and with my “frat boy” squirmy cat as someone called him. Thankfully Arlo is doing so much better now and made it back to Boston safely. I could not imagine a more supportive and caring place to take a pet in an emergency!

I had the very sad experience of having to bring my sweet kitty in one night and ultimately to put him down. (He was sick with stage 4 kidney disease and took a sudden turn for the worse.) They were all so kind and empathetic and respectful. Then, a couple of weeks later, I received a sympathy card signed by all of them. Just next level thoughtfulness. I would wish for no one to be in a situation where they have to go to an emergency vet, but if you do, this one is truly exceptional.

This review is five stars but the VEG Boulder team deserves 10. Based on their communication on literally every step of caring for my dog, allowing owners to be with their pets the entire time and adjusting to the pets needs by allowing and treating them where they are most comfortable, their promptness regarding every patients care and their transparency and ability to work with you on treatment and prices. I knew the itemized cost of every single step of my dogs care before and as it was happening. I was even impressed by the way they treated other patients and families in the ER. They actually care about everyone in their care, and one tech made calls to other hospitals in the area to be sure that one dog in a less critical condition would be seen sooner than they could offer on the late night we were there. Doctors saved my dog, Roo’s, life when in what we know now was an Addisonian Crisis and I will forever be grateful for VEG and recommend them to everyone. My dog is home and comfortable after hospitalization and we have a clear understanding of her condition and a plan for the future. Thank you VEG Boulder !

I am so impressed with the empathy and care shown by the VEG staff. Our wonderful cat was hit by a car when we were out of town. Our friend took him to VEG, and they were so helpful as we coordinated care over the phone. While Momo was beyond saving, they put us on a video call while our friend held him and they euthanized him. Afterward, VEG sent us a condolence card personally signed by the whole staff. Any visit to emergency vet care is going to be stressful, but VEG handled it with professionalism and compassion.
